When does the free trial clock start?

Browsing the marketplace, reading help, or staying on this blog does not consume trial days. We record trial start and end only when POST /api/chat returns successfully for the first time.

That keeps things fair: use multiple tabs while reading docs and chatting; the database stores one authoritative trial window.

If trial ends without a subscription, Basic tier policies still apply (e.g., free models only or upgrade prompts)—follow the live console messaging.
